I have spent my entire life ‘rescuing’ books, and I had to figure out a way to indulge this need without becoming a hoarder. So I began to ponder – why can’t I put my experience gained from many years in the book industry to use? As a woman I have a particular understanding and perspective on the industry. Why can’t I operate an independent bookstore so that I could continue to rescue books, and make sure they go to safe homes?
So I did. This store is the result.
